…The HISTORY! Back in December 1988, my parents bought me a role play wrestling game. I played it once and told my mom I’d never play it again. After purchasing numerous games, tirelessly searching for the one that would ultimately let me do what I always wanted with these types of games, I decided it was time make my own. Don’t get me wrong, a lot of the games had great aspects to them, but none of them gave me the freedom to do everything I was seeing on TV. Eighteen long years ago I began my quest. What did all these games have, what were they missing? I wanted mine to stand alone. After 6 trial versions testing all kinds of things, I finally realized what I was looking for. When two of us would sit down and want to trade guys, we ran into a critical problem. We each felt that we had the best guy. What I was looking for was a way to show who was better. It wasn’t until my seventh version that I was completely happy. A completely new rules set, newly designed game cards, new set of specialty cards that literally allow you to do or have done what ever you see happen on TV, and most important a new point system. Every great RPG has a point system in which to advance your player…this was what I was missing. In my search for a better game, I found that everything I was buying lacked in one area or another. I found that the wrestlers that were supplied were limited, and always came pre-made. I wasn’t able to do a lot of what I saw on TV, and that bothered me. I set forth to design a product that would allow all of this. After so many years of research I realized certain things had to be set in place. For example, using 2d6’s (6 sided dice) like most games do, certain numbers come up more often than others which is why I created a template that you will have to follow when you begin. That aside, you have the freedom to create your own wrestlers, choose your own moves, have specialty type matches, attack players during or after matches, assign special ref’s, gain points as you win and add them to your wrestlers to make them better. At BLOOD’N’GUTZ® Role Play Wrestling Game we feel we have created a game with more parity than any other. Remember, you are limited by your own imagination…
